1. Introduction

Welcome to KarmaVerse. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the KarmaVerse Android application, iOS application, website and web application at https://karmaverse.earth, and all related features, content, and services (collectively, the "Services"), operated by 3R ZeroWaste Pvt. Ltd. ("3R ZeroWaste," "Company," "we," "us," or "our"), a company incorporated under the laws of India.

KarmaVerse is an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) rewards platform that encourages sustainable behavior. Through KarmaVerse, users can recycle waste, scan QR codes, participate in sustainability campaigns, earn KarmaCoinXP, and redeem rewards through our partner network.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and 3R ZeroWaste. By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Services.

2. Definitions

Term Meaning
"Account" The registered user profile created to access the Services.
"Agent" An individual authorized by 3R ZeroWaste or a partner organization to verify recycling activity, QR scans, or campaign participation through the Agent Portal.
"Agent Portal" The interface used by Agents to perform verification and field activities.
"Admin Portal" The interface used by authorized 3R ZeroWaste personnel to administer the Platform.
"Campaign" A time-bound sustainability initiative, challenge, or activity made available through the Platform.
"KarmaCoinXP" The promotional reward points described in Section 11.
"Organization" A corporate, institutional, or governmental entity registered on the Platform through an Organization Account, as described in Section 15.
"Organization Portal" The interface used by an Organization's authorized representatives to manage its account, campaigns, and reporting.
"Partner" A third party that supplies rewards, sponsors campaigns, or otherwise participates in the KarmaVerse ecosystem.
"Platform" The KarmaVerse Android mobile application, iOS mobile application, website, web application, desktop application (if and when made available), and any other digital interfaces, portals, or APIs operated by 3R ZeroWaste, together with the Services.
"QR Code" A scannable code used on the Platform to verify recycling activity, campaign participation, or redemption.
"User Content" Any content, information, or material you submit, post, or upload to the Platform.
"Wallet" The in-app ledger reflecting your KarmaCoinXP balance and transaction history.
"You" / "User" Any individual who registers for, accesses, or uses the Platform.

Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given to them in our Privacy Policy.

3. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an Account, downloading the KarmaVerse application, clicking "I Agree," or otherwise accessing or using the Services, you confirm that:

  1. You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy;
  2. You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872; and
  3. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of an Organization, you have the authority to bind that Organization to these Terms.

If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Services.

Mandatory acceptance. You must accept these Terms — including by checking the confirmation checkbox presented during registration, where applicable — before you can create an Account or use the Services. Acceptance of these Terms is a condition of access; you may not use the Platform without providing it.

4. Eligibility

To use the Services, you must:

We reserve the right to refuse registration, suspend, or terminate any Account that does not meet these eligibility requirements.

5. Account Registration

To access most features of the Platform, you must create an Account by providing your mobile number and/or email address and completing the OTP-based verification process described in Section 6.

You may only maintain one Account, unless you are registering separately as an individual user and as an authorized representative of an Organization. Creating multiple individual Accounts to abuse referral programs, campaigns, or rewards is a violation of these Terms (see Section 9).

6. Authentication

Available authentication methods:

By using Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or Facebook Sign-In, you authorize us to receive certain account information from the relevant third-party platform (such as your name, email address, and profile identifier) for the purpose of creating and authenticating your Account, as described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of these sign-in methods is governed by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, and is additionally subject to the terms of service and privacy policy of the relevant third-party platform (Google, Apple, or Meta, as applicable). We are not responsible for the availability or functionality of any third-party sign-in service.

You are responsible for keeping your authentication credentials secure and for all consequences of failing to do so.

7. User Responsibilities

As a condition of using the Services, you agree to:

8. Acceptable Use Policy

You may use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Platform in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Platform, or interfere with any other party's use of the Platform.

Permitted use includes: recycling waste in good faith, scanning genuine QR codes, participating honestly in Campaigns and challenges, redeeming rewards you have genuinely earned, and referring individuals who have consented to being contacted.

9. Prohibited Activities

You must not, and must not attempt to:

  1. Create multiple, fake, or duplicate Accounts to farm KarmaCoinXP, exploit referral programs, or manipulate leaderboards.
  2. Scan, forge, duplicate, photograph, screen-record, or otherwise manipulate QR Codes to simulate recycling or campaign activity that did not genuinely occur.
  3. Use bots, scripts, emulators, or other automated means to interact with the Platform.
  4. Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Platform, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
  5. Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, its servers, or any connected network, including through the Agent Portal, Admin Portal, or Organization Portal.
  6. Sell, rent, lease, transfer, or otherwise commercialize your Account, your Wallet, or your KarmaCoinXP, except as expressly permitted under Section 11.
  7. Upload or transmit any User Content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or that violates the rights of any third party.
  8. Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity, including any Organization or Agent.
  9. Use the Platform to engage in fraud, money laundering, or any other unlawful financial activity, including through the Wallet or reward redemption features.
  10. Violate any applicable law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, in connection with your use of the Services.

Violation of this Section may result in suspension or termination of your Account under Section 18, forfeiture of KarmaCoinXP under Section 11, and, where warranted, referral to law enforcement.

10. QR Code Usage Rules

QR Codes are used on the Platform to verify recycling activity, campaign participation, and, where applicable, redemption. By scanning a QR Code, you represent that:

We and our Agents reserve the right to audit, verify, flag, or reject any QR Code scan that appears fraudulent, duplicated, or inconsistent with genuine activity, and to reverse any KarmaCoinXP credited as a result.

11. KarmaCoinXP Terms

KarmaCoinXP is central to the KarmaVerse rewards experience. The following terms apply:

  1. Promotional reward points only. KarmaCoinXP consists of promotional loyalty points issued at our discretion for engaging in qualifying activities on the Platform (recycling, QR verification, campaign participation, referrals, and similar activities).
  2. Not cryptocurrency. KarmaCoinXP is not a cryptocurrency, virtual digital asset, security, or other financial instrument of any kind, and is not built on, backed by, or redeemable through any blockchain or distributed ledger technology.
  3. No cash value in itself. KarmaCoinXP itself has no monetary value, is not legal tender, and cannot be exchanged for cash, bank transfer, or any other form of currency directly, whether by us or by any third party. This does not affect the monetary redemption option described in Section 11.11: where you redeem KarmaCoinXP for that specific reward, it is the redemption — not the KarmaCoinXP itself — that results in a payout.
  4. Not a prepaid instrument. KarmaCoinXP does not constitute a "prepaid payment instrument," wallet, or similar product regulated by the Reserve Bank of India or any other financial regulator.
  5. Non-transferable. KarmaCoinXP is personal to your Account and cannot be transferred, gifted, assigned, or shared with another user, except through features we expressly enable for that purpose (such as an official referral bonus).
  6. Cannot be sold. You may not sell, auction, or otherwise offer KarmaCoinXP for consideration to any third party, whether inside or outside the Platform.
  7. May expire. KarmaCoinXP may be subject to expiry periods, which will be disclosed within the Platform or the applicable Campaign terms. Expired KarmaCoinXP cannot be reinstated or redeemed.
  8. Subject to modification. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any reward program, redemption catalog, KarmaCoinXP earning rate, or expiry rule at our discretion, with reasonable notice provided through the Platform where the change is material.
  9. Forfeiture. KarmaCoinXP may be forfeited upon Account suspension or termination for violation of these Terms, or upon Account deletion, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  10. No guarantee of availability. We do not guarantee that any specific reward will remain available for redemption at any given KarmaCoinXP balance.
  11. Conversion to monetary payouts. We expect to make available, on or after August 1, 2026, a redemption option under which a specified quantity of KarmaCoinXP may be exchanged for a monetary payout in Indian Rupees, disbursed via RazorpayX or another payment processor we designate. This date is an expectation, not a guarantee, and availability is subject to our platform readiness and operational testing. This conversion feature may be modified, suspended, or withdrawn at our discretion in accordance with Section 11.8, and is subject to the Payout Conditions in Section 12.

12. Rewards & Redemption

  1. KarmaCoinXP may be redeemed for rewards made available through the Platform's reward marketplace, subject to availability.
  2. Rewards are fulfilled by us or by Partner organizations, and redemption of a specific reward may be subject to additional terms set by the relevant Partner, which will be disclosed to you at the time of redemption.
  3. Once a redemption request is confirmed, it is generally final, except where the reward is defective, undelivered, or otherwise fails to conform to its description, in which case you should contact cto.team@0waste.co.in.
  4. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of rewards fulfilled directly by a Partner, beyond our obligation to select reasonably reputable Partners and to assist in resolving genuine redemption disputes.
  5. Fraudulent redemption requests, or redemption requests based on KarmaCoinXP obtained through a violation of Section 9, may be canceled, and the associated KarmaCoinXP reversed.

Payout Conditions (for the monetary redemption option under Section 11.11)

  1. To receive a monetary payout, you must provide a valid UPI ID or bank account number and IFSC code. Without valid payout details, we will not be able to process your payout.
  2. We, or our payment processor, may verify the payout details you provide before disbursing a payout, and may reject, delay, or request re-submission of a payout request where the details provided are invalid, incomplete, do not match your Account holder information, or fail verification.
  3. Payment timelines and liability. We are not liable for delays or failures in payout processing caused by banks, payment APIs, UPI infrastructure, or other third-party providers beyond our reasonable control (see also Section 27, Force Majeure). We do not guarantee a specific payout timeline.
  4. Manual and bulk processing. During initial rollout of the monetary redemption option, payouts may be processed manually by our team rather than through an automated system, and payouts may be batched and processed in bulk on a periodic basis rather than instantly. Processing times may be longer during this period than they may become once an automated system is fully deployed.
  5. Right to modify the payout process. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or replace our payout process, payment processor, or payout methods at any time, including transitioning between manual and automated processing, with reasonable notice provided through the Platform where the change is material.

13. Referrals

Where our referral program is enabled:

  1. You may refer other individuals to KarmaVerse using your unique referral mechanism, and may earn KarmaCoinXP when a referred individual completes the qualifying actions specified in the referral program's terms.
  2. You must only refer individuals who have consented to being contacted by you for this purpose, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
  3. Referral bonuses are promotional and may be modified, capped, or discontinued at our discretion.
  4. Creating fake or duplicate accounts to generate referral bonuses is strictly prohibited under Section 9 and will result in forfeiture of the associated KarmaCoinXP and possible Account suspension.

14. Sustainability Campaigns

  1. From time to time, we or our Partners and Organizations may run time-bound Campaigns, challenges, or leaderboard competitions on the Platform.
  2. Each Campaign may have its own eligibility criteria, duration, rules, and rewards, which will be disclosed within the Platform and form part of these Terms for the duration of that Campaign.
  3. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, extend, or cancel any Campaign, including due to low participation, technical issues, fraud, or force majeure events (see Section 27).
  4. Leaderboard rankings are based on Platform activity data and are provided for engagement purposes; we do not guarantee the availability or permanence of leaderboard features.

15. Organization Accounts

  1. Corporate, institutional, or governmental entities may register for an Organization Account to participate in KarmaVerse's B2B or B2G programs (for example, waste management partnerships or sponsored sustainability campaigns), accessed through the Organization Portal.
  2. An individual registering an Organization Account represents and warrants that they are authorized to bind that Organization to these Terms.
  3. Organization Accounts may be subject to additional commercial terms set out in a separate agreement between the Organization and 3R ZeroWaste (such as a service agreement or statement of work); in the event of a conflict between such an agreement and these Terms, the separate agreement shall govern for that Organization's use of the Organization Portal.
  4. Organizations are responsible for the acts and omissions of their authorized representatives who access the Organization Portal, and for ensuring that such representatives comply with these Terms.
  5. We may make aggregated or organization-level reporting available to an Organization regarding activity connected to that Organization's campaigns, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

16. Agent Responsibilities

Individuals authorized to act as Agents through the Agent Portal agree to:

  1. Verify recycling activity, QR scans, and campaign participation honestly and accurately;
  2. Not approve, fabricate, or falsify verification records;
  3. Access only the account and activity information necessary to perform verification duties, consistent with our Privacy Policy;
  4. Maintain the confidentiality of any user information accessed through the Agent Portal; and
  5. Comply with any additional operating procedures issued by us or the relevant Organization or Partner.

Agent access may be revoked at any time for violation of these Terms, and Agents may separately be bound by an employment, contractor, or partnership agreement governing their engagement, which shall apply in addition to these Terms.

17. Wallet Rules

  1. Your Wallet reflects your current KarmaCoinXP balance and transaction history, and is accessible through the Platform.
  2. We take reasonable steps to ensure the accuracy of your Wallet balance, but you should promptly report any discrepancy to cto.team@0waste.co.in.
  3. We reserve the right to correct Wallet errors, including reversing KarmaCoinXP credited in error or as a result of fraudulent or prohibited activity under Section 9.
  4. Your Wallet is not a bank account, payment account, or deposit-taking product, and no interest accrues on any KarmaCoinXP balance.
  5. Upon Account deletion, unredeemed KarmaCoinXP may be forfeited, consistent with Section 11.9 and our Privacy Policy.

18. Suspension & Termination

  1. By you. You may stop using the Services at any time and may request deletion of your Account by following the process described in our Privacy Policy.
  2. By us. We may suspend or terminate your Account, in whole or in part, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have: (a) violated these Terms, including the Prohibited Activities in Section 9; (b) provided false or misleading information; (c) engaged in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity; or (d) created risk or possible legal exposure for us, other users, or our Partners.
  3. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice of suspension or termination and the reason for it. In cases of suspected fraud, abuse, or legal risk, we may act without prior notice.
  4. Upon termination, your right to access the Services ceases immediately, and any unredeemed KarmaCoinXP may be forfeited in accordance with Section 11.9.
  5. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 11 (KarmaCoinXP Terms, to the extent of any forfeiture), 19 (Intellectual Property), 24 (Limitation of Liability), 25 (Disclaimer), 26 (Indemnification), 28 (Governing Law), and 29 (Dispute Resolution) — will survive termination of these Terms.

19. Intellectual Property

  1. All content, trademarks, logos, designs, software, and materials associated with KarmaVerse and 3R ZeroWaste, including the KarmaVerse name and branding, are the property of 3R ZeroWaste Pvt. Ltd. or its licensors, and are protected under applicable intellectual property laws.
  2. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform for your personal, non-commercial use.
  3. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works based on the Platform or any of its content, except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law.
  4. Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you voluntarily provide to us regarding the Platform may be used by us without any obligation to compensate you, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

20. User Content

  1. You retain ownership of any User Content you submit to the Platform (such as a profile photograph, campaign submission, or support communication).
  2. By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and use that User Content solely for the purpose of operating, providing, and improving the Services (for example, displaying your profile photo or campaign submission within the Platform).
  3. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to any User Content you submit, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party or violate applicable law.
  4. We reserve the right, but do not assume the obligation, to review, remove, or restrict access to any User Content that violates these Terms.

21. Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates with, and relies on, third-party service providers to function, including Firebase Authentication, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Amazon Web Services (including AWS S3, AWS CloudFront, and AWS SES), Mappls (MapMyIndia), and Fast2SMS / MSG91. Your use of features powered by these services is subject to these Terms and, where applicable, the additional terms and privacy policies of the relevant provider. Details of what information is shared with each provider and why are set out in our Privacy Policy.

We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or acts and omissions of third-party service providers, except to the extent required by applicable law or by our agreements with those providers.

22. Future Integrations

The following integration is planned for a future release and is not currently active:

No payouts are currently processed through RazorpayX. Once this integration becomes active, your use of it will be governed by these Terms as they may be updated, and by our Privacy Policy as updated, at that time. We will provide reasonable notice before this integration materially changes how your data is Processed or how rewards are disbursed, consistent with Section 31.

23. Privacy

Our collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://karmaverse.earth/privacy-policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Services, you also agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.

24. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  1. The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and we do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
  2. In no event shall 3R ZeroWaste, its directors, officers, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Services.
  3. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount, if any, you have paid us directly for the Services in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) INR 5,000.
  4. Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.

25. Disclaimer

  1. We make no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any environmental impact calculation, sustainability metric, or estimate displayed on the Platform; these are provided for informational and motivational purposes and should not be relied upon for regulatory, scientific, or reporting purposes without independent verification.
  2. We do not warrant that any particular reward will be available at any given time, or that any Campaign will continue for any minimum duration.
  3. KarmaCoinXP is a promotional feature and is not, and should not be treated as, an investment, financial product, or store of value.
  4. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

26. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 3R ZeroWaste, its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party; or (d) any User Content you submit, except to the extent such claims arise from our breach of these Terms or our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

27. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, governmental action, labor disputes, internet or telecommunications failures, or failures of our third-party service providers (including cloud infrastructure or payment/payout providers).

28. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. If you are located in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer-protection laws that cannot be waived by contract, this Section does not deprive you of any protection afforded to you under the mandatory laws of your country or state of residence.

29. Dispute Resolution

  1. Good faith negotiation. In the event of any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, you agree to first contact us at cto.team@0waste.co.in to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
  2. Jurisdiction. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within thirty (30) days, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Gurugram, Haryana, India, subject to applicable law.
  3. Consumer rights. Nothing in this Section limits any right you may have to approach a consumer forum or authority under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, where applicable.

30. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court or authority of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or, if it cannot be so modified, severed from these Terms, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

31. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or the Services we offer. When we make material changes, we will provide at least 15 days' advance notice through the Platform, email, or another appropriate communication channel, before the changes take effect, and will update the "Effective Date" and "Version" at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Services and may request Account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.
